Location:
Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Building 125, an existing two-story brick building, was renovated to house a computer simulation facility. The scope of work included site (parking and mobile facility layout), was well as interior and exterior renovations. Interior work included the renovation of toilets and meeting rooms, and the removal of all non-load bearing partitions. The simulation rooms were provided with access flooring. Due to the nature of the facility, secure computer and telephone lines were required. A vault to store classified material was also provided. Exterior work included the design of an ADA-compliant entrance. Wood windows and extensive wood trim and molding were replaced with modern, durable materials. Working with the manufacturers, we closely matched the wood trim profiles and were able to maintain the character of the original building. |
