This project currently under construction is for an 1,800-student, three-story school containing approximately 295,000 SF of building area. The second and third floors of the academic wing contain four clusters of spaces that include classrooms, special education, project labs, business labs, smaller testing and seminar rooms, and a large teacher planning area. The science labs are centrally located in the core of the building in order to serve the clusters and provide for economy of construction. This arrangement of spaces supports flexibility as educational philosophies change. Classrooms may be grouped together by department or mixed to meet current educational objectives. The ground floor of the academic wing contains administration, art and technology education, and the media center. The student commons and food court separate the academic wing from the 2000-seat gymnasium, health and physical education spaces, 650-seat auditorium, and music education.

Site development includes demolition of the existing high school and stadium on site. Exterior facilities include a 4000-seat football/soccer stadium, 8-lane running track, tennis courts, softball, baseball and practice fields.

Norview High School was bid on May 7, 2002. The low bid was $30,800,000, which included $800,000 for demolition of the existing high school. The $30,000,000 ($105.26/SF) for the new school included site work and a $2,000,000 technology package. The low bid cost and a $250,000 spread between the low and high bidders is indicative of a cost effective design as well as accurate construction documents.
